We can’t thank Diona enough for helping us to see how our energy and behaviours had to change before we could give our dog everything she needs to flourish. She gave us wonderful advice and really useful strategies to support our highly anxious German Shepherd Cross, who struggles to regulate herself when highly aroused by the world around her. We have been to countless trainers, stay and trains and everything in between. Diona is so different to everyone we’ve worked with. She gave us practical skills to help us improve our dachies problem behaviours, including how to correct behaviours properly. We cannot thank and recommend Diona enough! We initially reached out as we were struggling with our 8 month old puppy and every kind of barking issue. We also had some secondary concerns about leash pulling, crate training, digging, potty accidents and our house was covered in baby gates / puppy pens. We'd done a lot of research and spoken to other trainers about specific concerns, and were following bits and pieces of advice from Reddit and different sources but feeling overwhelmed and like nothing was working (especially as first-time dog owners). Diona helped us to look at our relationship with our puppy as a whole, focusing on empowering and educating us to treat the root causes of the behaviour we didn't like. We decided to trust the process and follow her advice in every aspect of her recommended approach, and it has helped beyond belief! Our puppy was barking sometimes 30 times an hour (mornings and sunset / night), barking at the faintest noises, barking if someone walked past the house, barking if we left the room and she didn't want us to. As I am writing this, she has barked I think twice today and both times stopped after 1-2 barks. She is calm, more confident, happy and trusts us more. She follows our lead, is a pro at loose leash walking and we are in a good routine (both potty wise and generally in life). Our house is no longer covered in puppy gates! Other than the methodology itself, the support Diona offers throughout her program is amazing. We are looking forward to working with her on further developing our knowledge and continuing our training with our puppy.

Diona has changed our lives! She really knows her stuff and I knew this as soon as I got off the enquiry phone call with her. Prior to our training sessions with Diona, we had been to a number of obedience and one on one classes, without seeing much result. One of our main issues was leash pulling and it was important to us that we didn’t have to bring treats on every single walk to “bribe” our dog to listen to us. Diona progressively taught us her techniques in order for us to have a well behaved dog on walks. She also did the same to our other issues such as reactivity to other dogs and controlling behaviours. Her techniques are unique and also incredibly effective! The difference between Diona and other trainers is the constant support and advice she gives to you between sessions via a WhatsApp group. She analysed every video we sent (and believe me, we sent HEAPS!), and told us if we were doing it correctly or needed adjustments. The feedback given by Diona gave us the peace of mind that we were doing the exercises correctly. Diona, thank you for your hard work and efforts in helping us to raise a much better behaved and contented dog!

Diona’s approach to training was so eye opening and we saw results after the first week. There’s so much information out there about reactivity it’s easy to get lost on the way and confuse yourself and your dog. Diona focuses on strengthening the bond with your dog, how to read them and understand what they need from you. It’s not treat based and your dog learns to make good decisions on their own. Within the 4 weeks our reactive Dachshund is so much more confident and relaxed outside, walks nicely on the lead, doesn’t stop at every tree, and his reactions to other dogs are getting fewer and fewer every week. I wish we had seen Diona so much sooner! Thank you!

Happy dog, happy life. Diona is unique in that she has a deep understanding of both dogs AND people. She took time to understand our whole family and the dynamics that were leading to our Italian Greyhound, Phoebe’s, problems. Then she taught us, without judgment, to help us become the best dog parents we can be. The turnaround in Phoebe (and us) has been life changing. Previously there was a constant stress in our home with Phoebe toileting everywhere, barking at everything and being very skittish. I was worn out from dealing with it, and my stress was rubbing off on the kids (and the dog). We still have a ways to go with socialising Phoebe, but we have sorted out the toileting, made solid ground with walkies, and we have the tools to move forward to help her to relax around other dogs. The peace and contentment that has grown in our home from Diona’s guidance is amazing. Thank you times a million.
